Terms of Service
Last updated August 15, 2026
The short version
- NavFi is a planning tool, not a bank or an adviser. It never moves your money, and a plan is a projection — always check important amounts and dates with your bank.
- Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel, and you keep access through the period you paid for. Cancel a web subscription in the app; cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple Account settings, which is the only place Apple lets us send you.
- Disputes go to individual arbitration rather than court, and you give up class actions — but you can opt out within 30 days by emailing us, at no cost.
- You must be 18 or older and in the United States, and you may only connect accounts that are yours.
This summary is for convenience only — the full text below is what governs.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and NavFi Inc (“NavFi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your use of the NavFi mobile application, this website, and any related services we provide (together, the “Services”).
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Section 16 contains a binding arbitration agreement and a class-action waiver that affect how disputes between you and NavFi are resolved. Please read it carefully. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days.
2. Who may use the Services
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. The Services are offered for personal, individual use in the United States. We do not currently offer them for commercial use or outside the United States, and we may decline or discontinue service to anyone.
By using the Services you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate and belongs to you.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@navfi.money if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
We recommend enabling your device’s biometric or passcode lock for the app. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the devices on which you use the Services.
5. Connected accounts and third-party data
You may connect bank and credit card accounts through our data provider, Plaid Inc. You enter your credentials directly with Plaid, not with us. By connecting an account you authorize us to access and use that account data to provide the Services, and you confirm you have the right to grant that access.
Account data reaches us through third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong — for example when an institution changes its systems, a connection breaks, or a transaction is still pending. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data supplied by your financial institutions or by Plaid. Your relationship with your financial institution is governed by your agreement with them, not by these Terms.
You can disconnect an account at any time in the app. Doing so stops future syncing but does not by itself delete data we have already received; see our Privacy Policy.
6. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Some features require a paid subscription. Current plans and prices are shown on our website and in the app at the time you subscribe, and the price you are shown at checkout is the price that applies to your first billing period.
Two ways to subscribe. You can subscribe through our own checkout on the web, or — in our iOS app — through the Apple App Store. Which one you choose determines who bills you, where you cancel, and whose refund policy applies. The App Store price for a plan may differ from the price for the same plan on the web; the price you are shown before you confirm is the one that applies to you.
- Web subscriptions are billed by NavFi Inc through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us and Stripe to charge your selected payment method for the amounts due, and you agree to keep a valid payment method on file.
- App Store subscriptions are billed by Apple to your Apple Account, not by us. We never receive or hold your payment details for these purchases, and we cannot charge, change, or cancel them on your behalf.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly for monthly plans, annually for annual plans — and your payment method is charged the then-current price for that plan, and this continues until you cancel. Annual plans are charged in a single up-front payment for the year. We do not currently offer a free trial on any plan. If we introduce one, its length and the price that follows it will be shown before you confirm.
How to cancel. For a web subscription, cancel at any time from the subscription settings in the app or by emailing support@navfi.money. For an App Store subscription, cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings — that is the only place an App Store subscription can be cancelled. The app links you there rather than cancelling on your behalf, and an email to us cannot cancel it either. Either way, cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for; you keep access until then, and you are not charged again. Cancelling does not delete your account — see § 9.
Refunds. For web subscriptions, payments are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy or where a refund is required by law. Refunds for App Store subscriptions are governed by Apple’s policies and must be requested from Apple — we cannot issue them.
Price changes. We may change prices. If a change affects a subscription you already have, we will give you notice by email before it takes effect and it will apply from your next billing period — never retroactively. If you do not accept the new price, cancel before the change takes effect.
Taxes. Prices exclude any applicable sales or use taxes, which we will add where we are required to collect them. For App Store subscriptions, tax is calculated and collected by Apple at the point of purchase.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive, or to launder money or evade sanctions;
- connect an account you are not authorized to access, or provide someone else’s personal or financial information as your own;
- probe, scan, overload, or interfere with the Services or their infrastructure, or try to bypass authentication, rate limits, or security controls;
- scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Services, or access them by any automated means we have not authorized;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying models of the Services, except where that restriction is unenforceable by law;
- resell, sublicense, or make the Services available to third parties; or
- use the in-app assistant to try to extract system prompts, other users’ data, or to generate unlawful content.
8. Intellectual property and your content
The Services — including the software, models, designs, text, and the NavFi name and logo — belong to NavFi and its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your own personal financial planning. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Your content. The financial information and other content you provide remain yours. You grant us a licence to host, process, and display it solely to operate and improve the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to provide it.
Feedback. If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely and without obligation or compensation to you.
9. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using the Services at any time, and you may delete your account from within the app or by emailing support@navfi.money. Deleting your account removes your account and its associated records from our live systems and, where applicable, asks Plaid to release your bank connections. Deletion is permanent and we cannot restore a deleted account. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an active subscription or entitle you to a refund — cancel first, then delete. This matters most for an App Store subscription: it lives with Apple, not with us, so deleting your NavFi account cannot stop it and Apple will keep billing until you cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, if your account is used fraudulently, or if we discontinue the Services. Except where the breach is serious or the law prevents it, we will give you reasonable notice. If we terminate without cause, we will refund any prepaid amount covering the period after termination.
Sections 4, 8, 10 through 18, and 20 survive the end of these Terms.
10. Changes to the Services and to these Terms
We are actively developing NavFi and may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also update these Terms. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using the Services after that, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the Services and cancel any subscription.
11. Third-party services
The Services rely on and link to services we do not control, including Plaid, Stripe, your financial institutions, map and place providers, and app stores. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability, or content.
12. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NavFi disclaims all warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; that plans, projections, balances, or calculations will be accurate or achieve any particular financial result; or that data received from your financial institutions or from Plaid will be accurate, complete, or timely.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NavFi and its officers, directors, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, savings, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Services — even if we have been advised of the possibility of those damages.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Services in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
These limits apply regardless of the legal theory and are a fundamental basis of the bargain between us. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NavFi and its officers, directors, employees, and suppliers from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your misuse of the Services, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of anyone else’s rights. We will notify you of any such claim and you may control the defence, provided any settlement that imposes an obligation on us requires our written consent.
15. Talk to us first
Most problems can be solved quickly. Before starting arbitration or any legal proceeding, you agree to email support@navfi.money describing the dispute and the relief you want, and to give us 60 days to try to resolve it informally. We will do the same before bringing a claim against you. This step is a condition of starting a formal proceeding, and it pauses any applicable limitation period while it runs.
16. Binding arbitration and class-action waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court and to have a jury hear your claims.
Agreement to arbitrate. Except for the carve-outs below, you and NavFi agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.
Your right to opt out — 30 days. Arbitration is not compulsory. You may opt out by emailing support@navfi.money with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your account email, within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out costs you nothing, does not affect your use of the Services in any way, and means disputes proceed in court instead. If you opt out, the rest of these Terms still applies.
What is carved out. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, and either of us may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property or to stop unauthorized access to the Services. Bringing such a claim does not waive this section for other disputes.
Class-action and jury waiver. You and NavFi agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims or preside over any representative proceeding. You and NavFi also waive the right to a trial by jury. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim — and only that claim — will proceed in court, and the rest of this section still applies.
Costs and location. Where the AAA Consumer Rules require NavFi to bear filing and arbitrator fees, we will. Arbitration will be conducted by written submission, telephone, or video where the rules allow; if an in-person hearing is required, it will be held in the county where you live or another mutually agreed location. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could, and the award may be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction.
17. Governing law and venue
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs § 16. For any dispute not subject to arbitration, you and NavFi agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, and each of us waives any objection to venue there. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws in the state where you live.
18. General
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and NavFi about the Services and replace any earlier agreement on that subject.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remains in force.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Force majeure. Neither party is liable for a delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
Notices. We may send notices to the email address on your account or through the app. Send notices to us at support@navfi.money.

20. Apple App Store — additional terms
This section applies only to the NavFi iOS application obtained from the Apple App Store. Where it conflicts with anything else in these Terms, this section controls for that application. “Apple” means Apple Inc.
- These Terms are between you and us. These Terms are concluded between you and NavFi Inc only, and not with Apple. NavFi Inc, not Apple, is solely responsible for the NavFi application and its content.
- Scope of license. The license granted to you for the NavFi application is a non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that it may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. NavFi Inc is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the application. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services for it.
- Warranty. NavFi Inc is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the application fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the application to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the application, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are NavFi Inc’s sole responsibility.
- Product claims. NavFi Inc, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the application or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the application fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the application or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, NavFi Inc, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the application.
- Contact. Questions, complaints, or claims with respect to the application should be directed to NavFi Inc at support@navfi.money.
- Apple as third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary of them.
